He retired in August after the second test match against India after an illustrious playing career. Kumar Sangakkara holds multiple world records for his country, which includes four top run records on the test circuit. In fact, Kumar Sangakkara was so good that Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena offered him the position of High Commissioner to Great Britain. Sangakkara said that he’d “think about it,” although he’s not sure if he currently has the skills to do the job.
